Auto Insurance is very important here in the United States. Being in a car accident is very costly especially when you are the one at fault. If you were involved in a car crash, you will be responsible for the cost of repair of both yours and the victim’s vehicle if you do not have Automobile Insurance. And if there are any injuries to the victim’s party, you will shoulder the medical bills and that is very expensive.
With auto insurance, you are not only protecting yourself in case of an accident, but also your financial well-being in the future and the choices you make could affect you for the rest of your life.
A low cost Auto Insurance policy from Scurich Insurance may include the following coverage’s:
- Bodily Injury Liability – It pays the medical and other expenses of people injured in an accident you cause. This is required by most states.
- Property Damage Liability – It covers the damage your car causes to property, usually the other car or cars involved in the accident but also any objects you may hit (fence posts, garages, buildings…). This is also required in most states.
- Collision – It covers the damage done to your car when it collides with another car or an object.
- Comprehensive – This covers damage to your car that results from something other than a collision, for example damage caused by vandals or a windstorm.

Road conditions certainly play a role in many accidents, but it is up to you as the driver to adapt to those conditions and safely operate your car. The snow may contribute to your accident, but it was caused by you over-driving the conditions and losing control of your vehicle.
Driving in winter poses many special challenges. Storms can down trees and power lines, making your normal route impassable and forcing detours. Even a little snow can cause big headaches, from traffic snarls to major accidents. As a result, you need to take precautions
when the weather changes.
Before winter hits, make sure you have properly inflated tires with good tread. If you live where it snows often, make the investment in dedicated winter tires. On snow, the difference in traction between a good all-season tire and a snow tire is huge. If you have tire chains, practice putting them on when in the comfort of your driveway or garage so you won’t have to learn how in the dark… on the side of the road… in a blizzard.
Winter tips for save driving
A few winter weather tricks that can help you drive safely include:
- Fill your windshield washer tank with fluid that will resist freezing, and changing your wiper blades.
- Put a bag of kitty litter in your trunk so you can “sand” the road around your tires if you get stuck.
No matter how well you prepare, or how carefully you drive, auto accidents still happen. You can trust Scurich Insurance to be there for you during these unexpected times. Most importantly, Scurich Insurance will provide you with coverage to protect you and your family.

A motorist was killed in a collision with a freight train early Friday in Placentia, authorities said. The accident occurred about 8 a.m. near Rose Drive and Orangethorpe Avenue near the city’s border with Anaheim, said Capt. Mark Stone, spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority.
The Burlington Northern train pushed the car about 300 yards down the track before it came to a stop, Stone said. The male driver of the car, whose name was not immediately known, died as firefighters were attempting to extract him. The track has been shut down in both directions. It was unknown why the car was on the tracks when the train was passing, Stone said.
